IAFF Local 1352 was chartered on October 9th, 1959 representing the Union Fire Fighters of Auburn, Washington. In this same year, the City of Auburn built its first headquarters fire station at 700 Auburn Way S. As the city continued to grow, the headquarters station was relocated north of downtown to its current location and Station 32 was built. In 1995 a third firehouse was added, Station 33.
On January 1st, 2007 the Valley Regional Fire Authority was formed, which combined the Auburn Fire Department and the Pacific Fire Department. The members of Auburn Fire Fighters IAFF Local 1352 and Pacific Fire Fighters IAFF Local 4276 combined and became the Valley Professional Fire Fighters IAFF Local 1352.
IAFF Local 1352 now represents over 100 Fire Fighters who respond to more than 12,000 emergencies per year out of 5 stations, protecting the communities of Auburn, Algona, and Pacific.
